Mummy’s and Mummy’s and Daddy’s and Daddy’s

Long listed for BOLD playwright award
Final round of Bush Theatre script call out

Deeply in love and ready for the next chapter, Ashleigh and Lucy want a baby. Across the city, Matt and Krishna are thinking the same. After navigating the many paths for queer parenting, the two couples decide to join forces to complete the biological puzzle. By the end, each couple will have a baby of their own. But will it go to plan?

Mummy’s and Mummy’s and Daddy’s and Daddy’s’ explores desire for biological children, the complexities of queer parenting and the lengths we’ll go to to start a family.

I admired the distinctiveness of your four characters, the dynamism of your premise, and the genuine emotional complexity you wrought from the set-up…I was often moved and provoked.
