Two young women rent an Airbnb to finally get the alone time they desire. When the pressures from the outside world flag up the momentary nature of their stay, they reach a crossroad in their relationship. In Situ is about savouring the small intimate moments, and what they mean in the grand scheme of things.

In Situ was born out of a need to present female queer intimacy and voice. The question of who has right to space, which the characters face, is directly contextualised with with other current themes of how female homosexuality doesn’t have so much of an accepted space for intimacy in society.

”Monica is full of interesting, daring ideas and is a great collaborator. She cares for her crew and makes sure that everyone has a say, prioritising what’s best for the story.”
– Alina Kay Kolosova, Director of Photography
”Monica was… incredibly clear, detailed and reassuring. …She really listened and responded to each actor’s unique approach and tailored her feedback to each actor which I think is truly such a gift to have in a director.”
– Courtney Büchner, Actor
”Working with Monica was a breeze. We brought out the best in each other’s work. She’s a great collaborator who knows when and challenge and when to trust.”
– Melissa Schneider, Editor
